Adventure Village
Ahh, there has been so much since the last update, it is hard to begin. I’ll begin with the pictures. Scroll to the right, and you will find a link a Flickr feed with a few hundred uploaded pics from Adventure Village. I realized a couple days ago that I wasn’t able to keep up with the blog as much as I’d hoped this session but made a special effort to get all the pictures up and accessible even if the written updates are scarce.
We returned from the 3 day mini trips on Sunday and jumped right into the fray of the main camp mega activity called “The Olympics”. Essentially, the kids all break up into countries and it is a combination of fun games, events, culture sharing and a whole lot of cheering.
Today, we all hit up the Zipline, and at 50 ft. in the air, a photo is worth more than 1000 words.
We spend the day out again tomorrow as we have a group going to yet another Skate park, a group of 12+ year olds doing some tubing on the Esopus River, and a group of guys hiking to some waterfalls and capping the day with the view from one of the historic Catskills Firetowers. We’ll be snapping away with the cameras tomorrow and will post more pictures when we get back.
Take care, and I look forward to seeing you all in a few days.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
