The adventure started 12 days ago when the campers first stepped into Margetts, not knowing what or even who to expect to be waiting for them. We then dove right into it and start setting goals, building our trust with team building activities, and packing our food and gear to last us the next 9 days. Then we were off… Driving to our destination looking to face whatever challenge and adventure was waiting for us. Each and every trip has a different story and every participant will tell it differently. I can only do my best putting all their stories together.

White Mountiains spent the first half of their trip climbing, rappelling, and belaying, each day testing their limits and facing challenges that has never been presented to them before.  This is such a stunning place and offers so much that it sometimes can be overwhelming (in a good way). After testing our skills on land, we try our hand on the sea, trying to maneuver their way around on sea kayaks and stand up paddle boards on the coast of Rhode Island. It was such a great trip and its always great to see these kids come back walking taller and with such big smiles

West Virginia spent majority of their trip on some big water. These campers experienced Class 5+ rapids, which can be extremely scary for many. These campers took the challenge head on and conquered it with class. When they weren’t on the water, they tried their hand at some caving and climbing in the local area. These campers did extremely well and it was an honor to see them come back with such confidence in themselves.

The campers on the Habit for Humanity trip did such an amazing job giving back to the community. They helped out a restore that was extremely low on volunteers and really conquered some the piles of donations that didn’t have a home on the shelf. The group really tackled this large task with smiles on their faces. This group really came together as a team and you could really see the connection between campers as they left.

I can’t describe how proud the Adventure leadership team is of these groups and they truly made Frost Valley proud.
