Adventure Flies!
Today was all sun and blue skies – great summer weather for our crew here on camp! Archery was on the agenda for this morning, as well as some rock art creations. After that, everyone had a chance to try the Leap of Faith and Giant Swing – two high elements we have here on camp. A couple of campers wandered over to the Y-Tower to try their skill scaling the wall while working simolutenaously on a shelter they have been working on for the past few days. The rest of the group went to tie dye some clothing items in all sorts of bright colors. Right now everyone is over at the lake or playing in the creek to cool off before dinner. Campers are enjoying the good break in weather and really connecting to other people in the village. Spirits are high and camp is running well!!

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
