Adventure Village!!
So before telling you about today, let me give you a quick update from yesterday! The day started out shrouded in mystery as the village was told they were playing “woodland warfare” without knowing any great details. The counselors brought out a bucket of water balloons, took everyone up to a wooded area and played a version of capture the flag with the balloons. Everyone has a blast and enjoyed a chance to cool off a little while playing. After lunch, good ole slip & slide was the menu and a period of swimming and boating at the lake. Ultimate Mortal Noodle was the evening activity, followed by getting ready for sleep and a devotion.
Today started with natural facials and switchball over at the volleyball net, followed by creeking, cloud appreciation (yes, that is a whole period, and something the campers LOVE to do!!), and cooking monkey bread and vegetable soup with Luke and Mike. The afternoon was filled with high elements, nature art, waterfront and fo course starting to pack and prepare for mini-trips tomorrow! Right now everyone is prepping and priming before heading over to the dance!!!
Tomorrow everyone heads out on their mini-trip for three days, three nights of fun in the sun and out-of-doors!

He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
