Adventure Village – Another Soggy Filled Day!

Our adventurers started their morning with some beautiful nature art with an overcast, but dry, sky.  The creations included rock sculptures, artistic placement of colorful leaves over rocks, and pictures with items found outdoors.  Next, our group transitioned to their final high element of the week including walking on a log 30 feet up in the air.  After some delicious lunch, counselors surprised our campers with a make-your-own ice-cream sundae party.  By this point, a drizzle started to fall as campers strapped on protective gear and rode down the hills on mountain boards.  Now, we have off and on showers, which AdVill is happily out playing in by splashing in puddles and using the slip in the grass to catch frisbees better!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
