Adventures On and Off Camp!
We had a great second day of the session! This morning, bright and early, both the White Mountains trip and the AiT trip hopped on busses, wiping sleep from their eyes and getting ready for their backcountry experiences. Sleep was not stopping them, though – packs tight and ready to go, they all got some hiking in and arrived safely at their camp sites in time for dinner.
The ADK Multipitch trip returned happily and safely from their overnight. The rain did not stop them yesterday – they all came back with their route completed and big smiles as they packed in and continued to bond, team build, and prepare for their big trip!
Adventure Village had a day full of swim tests, tent bonding, learning outdoor living skills, and playing an exciting game of Killer in the Castle after dinner to complete their action-packed second full day of camp!

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
