Blazin’ Hot at EVR!
It’s been REAL hot the past two days but that hasn’t stopped us having fun. Sunday night was the finale to Carnival day – we had a fortune telling stand, a shave the balloon stand, a guess the jar stand, a bobbing for apples stand, horse shoes and a photo booth (pictures to come on smugmug.com). We even had our EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Ethan dress up in a prom dress and have his make-up done by the girls. It was quite the night and it ended up with a shaving foam/water balloon war. Of course the girls all turned on poor Ethan.
Yesterday (Monday) the girls all rode for hours, with interval water breaks for both campers and horses, before heading off on trail for some shade of the trees. Some of the groups even took on Latigo Loop which is one of our most challenging trails.
Boomer and Jeffie arrived last night which are our two draft horses – they are HUGE. We will be using them for vaulting which the girls are all thrilled about. Also last night the girls got into teams to practice for tonight’s evening program which is ‘lip sync’ night – should be funny. They also had a sports night and of course another round of ‘Killer at EVR’, their favorite.
More riding today – the sun’s out again – lots of water – lots of sun screen.
The girls have already started practicing cheers for Thursday nights East verses West night. We go up against Mustang Village with cheers and sports!!! Can’t Wait!!!
