Horse Day Camp provides the perfect opportunity for young boys and girls to learn the fundamentals of riding and horse care. From the beginning rider to the more advanced, children grow leaps and bounds during their sessions, gaining confidence, independence, and leadership skills.
One-Week Session, Grades K-3 (minimum age 5)
This is a one week camp designed to give younger campers the chance to spend time with horses. Each day campers will enjoy pony rides, learn about grooming, horse care, and how much fun horses can be. Horsey crafts, treats and games make this a week to remember. Campers will also go to waterfront and have a games period each day. Designed for campers with little or no horse experience.
Two-Week Session, Grades 3 and up
Hoof-Beats is a two week specialty day camp program for youth who want to spend time with horses this summer. Campers will spend half of each day at the barn riding and learning all about horse health and care. They will have the chance to truly connect with a horse and gain a sense of ownership throughout the session. The remainder of the day will be spent doing other traditional activities including: arts & crafts, waterfront, and games. Designed for campers of all skill levels.
Six-Week Session, Grades 6 and up
Campers who are looking to really progress and improve their riding skills and horsemanship abilities should join us for this program. This six week session will allow campers the opportunity to work with the same staff and horses. They will enjoy presentations and guest speakers to give them a more in-depth look at the variety of ways in which horses are used. This is designed as a six-week progression based program and campers will learn new skills each week. Western Adventures will still enjoy waterfront and a few traditional camp activities. However the focus of the program will be horses! Previous horse experience required.
