In early November, Frost Valley welcomed Girl Scouts Junior Troop 1737 from the Jackson Ave. School in Mineola, New York.  During their first trip to Frost Valley, the girls participated in a plethora of activities, from horseback riding to arts & crafts, to nature and adventure based thrills.  In the photo above is a few of the scouts from Troop 1737, Maddie, Ayden, Emma, Rabia, Olivia, and Emily.  We were so happy to have you all here and hope you enjoyed your trip! Before I start the blog, I just wanted to quickly introduce myself, if you don’t already know, I am Kayleigh Gorman, Equestrian Program Coordinator (Which is basically a fancy name for the person that oversee’s Mustang Village and also the Equestrian day camp programs). The kids all arrived on their buses and in their cars excited for the day ahead! They split up into their groups and met their counselors. They headed straight to the barn to hop on some horses to take their eval rides. This basically means when the barn staff match the kids with a horse, based on their riding style and personality, this horse will then be theirs to look after for the next 2 weeks! They find out today which one they have been assigned and they are all very excited! After lunch they headed to waterfront to learn about how the beach, boat house and different swim sections […]
