So as session one begins, our activity counselors advertise specialties and get the kids hyped for the activities such as sports and games, woodwork, pottery, healthy eating teaching kitchen and many more!

In early April, the Frost Valley Green Team launched a staff-wide photo contest. In order to encourage the staff to spend more time enjoying our beautiful surroundings and the outdoors, the contest required participants to submit photos of nature taken during the month of April. Staff submitted over 20 photos which were displayed in the Dining Hall so staff could vote for their favorites in the following categories. As young girls begin to get older, their interests begin to change. There are also a lot more opportunities to try new things, make new friends, and step away from what is familiar. This past weekend I got the chance to interact with some pretty awesome young girls who are going through their adolescence without letting go of their friendship. The 12-year-olds were part of Girl Scout Troop 3452 for many years, but now that they’re in middle school, they don’t have the time to get together as a club anymore.
