Learn essential wilderness survival skills The Wilderness First Responder program is the ideal emergency medical training for leaders in remote areas. Outdoor educators, wilderness guides, members of the military, professional search and rescue teams, field researchers, and individuals involved in disaster relief will gain valuable skills from this comprehensive and practical curriculum. The course includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.

Along with our traditional weekend programming, you’ll also be able to enjoy the winter scenery on our many cross-country ski trails, go sliding down our tube run, or create a masterpiece in a snow sculpture contest.* Indoor activities include archery, the climbing wall, and winter-themed arts and crafts. Activities for Children over Winter Break Ages 4-16, daily transportation and lunch provided at no additional fee. Transportation: Car/Personal Vehicle:  9am/4pm Monticello Government Building: 7:45am/5:15pm Ideal Food Basket in Liberty:  8:00am/5:00pm Tri-Valley School:  8:35am/4:30pm Neversink Bus Garage:  8:20/4:45 Big Indian: 8:30am/4:30pm Claryville Church: 8:50am/4:15pm **Frost Valley reserves the right to cancel bus routes in case of low enrollment What to bring: Snow clothes, extra warm clothes, water bottle, sturdy laced shoes and snow boots, hats and gloves. Daily Activities: Tubing, Cross Country Skiing, Sleigh Riding, Snow Adventures, Broomball and Arts & Crafts. Also, weather permitting, we take an offsite trip to a local pool!

Frost Valley YMCA is a camp at heart—all year round! Winter Camp promises a wonderland of offerings. From winter arts & crafts and indoor climbing to snow tubing and  sled building competitions, there’s never a dull moment! Campers go on snow shoe hikes, cross-country ski, build snowmen, play broomball and even compete in Frost Valley YMCA’s own winter olympics. On December 31 we ring in the new year with a new year’s eve party. Bus transportation is available from Montclair, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.Â
