After Several days of rain, EVR decided it was time to embrace the weather and get muddy on a mud hike! Every puddle was found and every camper and staff member by the end of the hike was coated from head to toe in mud! It was awesome to see everyone really getting involved and having fun! After a warm shower, the sun decided to shine and everyone was able to spend the afternoon in the sun playing soccer and gaga ball.

Saturday was bareback day where the 4-weekers all rode their horses without saddles to test their balance. All riders were excellent and this activity allowed them to feel how their own horse moves. The girls also started learning how to teach ground lessons to other campers and prepared their own ground lessons.

As the sun rose over EVR on Sunday, camp was quiet as the girls enjoyed a well deserved sleep in. However is wasn’t long before everyone was enjoying a brunch of waffles and ice-cream and the theme for the day was announced. The Hunger Games saw each yurt transform into a district in which they would work together to win challenges. The 4 week girls’ district was the Fishing district, so the girls dressed in blue with fishtail braids and faces painted with blue, green and purple swirls. The whole of EVR then completed tasks such as tug of war and helium hoop. After snack, we headed up into the trees where district 4 built an exceptionally good shelter which would later become their base as they competed in the hunger games. Fun was had by all!

The time is flying and its hard to believe that the girls have already been here for a week! Today the girls spend most of their day at the barn, riding, learning about equine massage and how to assist in lessons. The girls also completed the high ropes course today where is was lovely to see the girls supporting each others and cheering each other on as they all successfully completed the course!
