EVR Two Week: Horse assignments and swimming!
So all of the girls have been super busy this week during the first week of session one. After our eval day on Monday we assigned each girl to their horse for the two weeks, which they were all extremely excited about. Since then they have each been getting to know their horse in their daily riding lessons. They have also been caring for their horses and learning about all aspects of horse care in our ground lessons, so they will be experts in no time! We have of course also been taking part in various other activities. Although for most of the girls their riding lesson is the highlight of their day, they have also loved going swimming at the watering hole at farm camp, it has been the perfect way to cool down in this humid weather. Our other activities this week have included low ropes, soccer and kick ball as well as all of the camp games that we play every day. Challenge night on Tuesday evening was a definite highlight with all of the girls showcasing their talents ranging from best singer to the smelliest shoe! The weather hasn’t always done what we wanted it to do, but we have carried on regardless and the storm that blew in over EVR last night was the perfect excuse for smores and a dance party!
