3 canoes on lake cole

FINALLY Summer has arrived!

Everyone was a bit confused at the beginning of this week–where was the sunshine!?  Luckily she didn’t stay in hiding for too long and has now graced us with her presence.  Today was the hottest out of the five days thus far, and priority was placed on making sure campers and staff were wearing sunscreen and drinking lots of water!  Almost everyone that came down to the waterfront was ready for a dip in the lake or wanted to be out on a boat. A mandatory rest hour was set after lunch and campers and staff were encouraged to lay and nap in the cool shade of their bunks.  All in all, we keep reminding ourselves to be thankful for the sunshine because when its all said and done the sun is more fun.
