Here at Frost Valley, we love working with our Girl Scouts. We are always looking for new ideas and badge programs to incorporate into our weekends, and recently we tried something new. Many Girl Scouts joined us to work on their Girl Scout Way badges and celebrate the Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette “Daisy” Low. The girls learned out how she started the program and made her birthday cards. Then the ladies learned a variety of new songs to share at a campfire later in the weekend.
Throughout the weekend, our Girl Scouts enjoyed a variety of Frost Valley programming, including archery, climbing, creating and painting bisque figurines, projects in the wood shop, going down the zipline, and swinging from the trees at the Flying Squirrel. We also had the ski barn open and many tried cross country skiing for the very first time. Ice fishing, snow tubing, broomball, and snowshoe hikes were also popular. It was a weekend full of winter fun for all.
If you are in a troop or service unit and haven’t tried a Girl Scout Weekend, please give us a call. We have limited space in our upcoming spring programs. And be on the lookout for many new Girl Scout Weekend programs coming your way next year. As badge programs grow, so does our programming and its offerings. We hope to see you soon!
