Will our dining room be private? Or are we sharing it with the kids?

We are looking to bring our families, so that in the evenings we can spend time with them.  But during the day, they will need something to do.  Can you provide programs for them?

I’m looking to book a retreat for my organization, when can we come?

Frost Valley YMCA is able to host retreats for groups and organizations beginning with Labor Day weekend through Father’s Day weekend.

Which airports are close to you?

Albany International Airport is exactly 2 hours from us.  Stewart/ Newburgh International Airport is 1:45 hours away from us.  Newark International Airpot is 2:30 away from us and New York is 2:30-3 hours away from us depending upon traffic.

Will public transportation take you to Frost Valley?

NJ Transit runs a train that come to Middletown, NY about an hour from Frost Valley YMCA.  From there you would need to arrange transportation or take a cab.  NJ Transit runs buses to Monticello NY which is 45 minutes from Frost Valley YMCA.  Transportation would have to be arranged from Monticello, or take a cab.

Could you provide transportation?

We work closely with Academy Bus Lines and could set up a charter bus for your trip with us.  Prices are variable and subject to the current fuel surcharges.

Do you have an Electric Vehicle Charging Station?

We are proud to offer two electric vehicle charging stations, located behind the Welcome Center.  They are Level 2 charging stations that have a rate of charge of 22-25 miles of range per house. Please see the front desk for charging access.

Do your meeting spaces have internet capability?

Our Geyer Hall Conference center has WiFi available throughout the entire building.  Our Thomas Lodge Dining Hall also has WiFi for guests to utilize throughout the day.

What is the largest meeting space that you have?

Our Geyer Hall Conference center has two large rooms, each can seat a capacity of 120-300 depending upon how the room is configured. Follow the link to see photos of our meeting rooms. (link to the meeting room page)

Do Cell phones work on your property?

There is no cell phone coverage in our area.  However, we do provide limited cell phone service for Verizon Customers in our Welcome Center and in Geyer Hall through our internet.  This service is designed for quick calls and emergencies and is not intended for lengthy conversations or business transactions.  We do provide house phones throughout the property which can be used with a calling card or a credit, in which longer calls can be made.

It is important to us that our group have the opportunity to bond socially, is alcohol allowed?

Frost Valley YMCA does allow alcohol on it’s property, in the privacy of your lodge, at your private fire ring, and in your private meeting spaces.  We do not allow alcohol in our public locations, such as recreational program areas and our Thomas Dining Hall.  We will work with you to ensure that the atmosphere of community you are looking to create is safely and comfortably created.

We would like to do an activity that pushes our boundaries as a team – are you able to facilitate this for us?

Absolutely.  We will customize a program to fit your groups specific needs, whether is it’s communication you are working on, problem solving, building trust, or utilizing this time to learn more about the members of your team. We have a wide variety of Low Facility Initiatives (Low Ropes) and High Ropes Elements (Zip Line, Leap of Faith) that we can utilize to help your group move through both individual challenges, and group dynamic challenges.  Our Teambuilding Director will work with you directly to design your specific program.  If you are looking to unwind, we also provide a wide array of recreational options in which your group can get out and enjoy the beautiful Catskills.

Absolutely.  Our conference menu is geared towards adults, not children.  To see a more general description of our dining service please follow this link to our Dining Page.  Our Coordinator and Food Service Director will work with you directly to make sure the menu suits all of the needs in your group.  We are able to accommodate all dietary concerns and allergies, and still provide a well balanced and delicious meal.  We look forward to designing your perfect experience!

In most cases we can set aside a private room for your retreat during meals.  Please ask about this option when you are considering dates with us.

It would be our pleasure!  For weekend retreats, Friday – Sunday, we offer a wide array of recreational and educational programming for our groups and families that they would be able to participate in. How do I determine how much this retreat will cost?
