After a peaceful night’s sleep out in the woods, AdVill woke up and hiked back to the village. After breakfast, all the campers split up into four groups. They got to choose between exploring nature and making some natural artwork; some of our more ambitious campers helped do some work on the trails around the village; some got to challenge themselves on the climbing tower; while some brave campers took the leap of faith, which is one of our high ropes elements.
Most of the afternoon was spent learning and practicing the core skills that will be used on the upcoming mini trips. Skill include how to select the best campsites, setting up tarps/shelters, fire building techniques, and leave no trace ethics. After all that hard work, it was time for more creekin’ before dinner.
This evenings activity was an all camp favorite and Frost Valley classic, Ultimate Sicko Ball which is a massive game of four way capture the flag. Playing USB is always a sure fire way to tire out campers and counselors alike!
