And the summer begins… East Valley Ranch SESSION 1!!!!!
The first two week session of EVR has begun! The girls have all arrived and settled in to their yurts already. The afternoon was spent making decorations and name tags for their yurts and playing some ‘getting to know you games’ with their new camp friends as everybody arrived! After this, the girls were introduced to all the staff members in the dining hall, and enjoyed a delicious BBQ (indoors, as it was STILL raining) AND Chef Sherri’s incredible raspberry shortcake desert to celebrate opening night!
To officially open Session One of East Valley Ranch, there was no better way to do it than have a campfire in the warmth of our beautiful dining hall! The girls performed some skits and showed us their talents, including a violin recital, while the staff sang some traditional campfire songs.
All in all – the first night at East Valley was a great one… We are all keeping our fingers crossed for some sunshine for tomorrow’s busy day and the girls are REALLY excited to meet the ponies!
