New Classes!
Today we returned to the normal schedule. Wake up early, do chores, and go to classes. However, today the kids started a new set of classes. They take three classes every morning. This week we’re offering some advanced classes, like advanced theater, advanced gardening, advanced animal care, advanced hiking, and advanced arts and crafts. When we did sign-ups yesterday, all the campers seemed really pumped to try some new things! In Arts & Crafts this morning we did a fun camp-craft: friendship bracelets. Even though we had a really full class (20 kids!) they all had tons of fun. I was really proud of the older girls, who took great responsibility and helped the younger kids learn how to make the bracelets! When we met up at the fire ring after first period, all the kids seemed really excited about their new classes! Everyone is having fun, and the energy level has skyrocketed after a nice, relaxing chill day.
The week ahead is going to fly by, and before we know it, it will be the end of camp! Our week is jam packed with fun activities, like tie-dye, ice cream, hay rides, and a dance! Me and my girls (the island girls) are so excited for the rest of camp, and I hear from the other counselors that everyone else is as well! I can’t wait for the rest of the week!
