Potato Patch Pirate Gardeners

This morning in garden specialty, the gardeners were divided into two pirate teams and had a race to remove all of the precious “gold” from the potato patch. The competition was fierce, but ultimately the two teams came to a tie and helped our potatoes be able to grow big and delicious without the hindrance of rocks!

After the gold hunt, gardeners harvested and snacked on some yummy carrots and then helped make beautiful boquets to be put on each table in our dining hall.

We had a wonderful morning in the garden despite the light rain, and all the campers were very helpful in making the potato patch and camp itself a better, more beautiful place.
