Project X

It’s the start of a special Advill day, overnight at Project X. This morning campers ate breakfast and then went right to tent time. Campers played basketball and some socialized in the yurt.

Advillians split up into multiple groups for the morning period Advillians had the option of going to some of our high ropes course or arts and craft.

When the morning periods were over Advillians went to rest hour and then lunch where they enjoyed pizza and salad.

For the afternoon periods camps again split into groups. Some campers went to our leap of faith! Others went to a presentation on hawks with one of our rescued red tailed hawks. And our final group of campers went to our archery range.

After dinner Advill slipped quietly away to their secret overnight spot Project X

Advill Try-it campers got out this morning for their mini trips. One group is climbing in the world famous Gunks. Our second group of Try-it campers are hiking a little closer to home.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
