Trips Blog Post of the Week: Habitat for Humanity

Hello Adventurers! This is the first of many weeks featuring one of Frost Valley YMCA’s Adventure Trips.  In Adventure, we make it our mission to meet every camper where they are at, and throughout their time with us help to build them up to get closer to their fullest potential.  We believe that combining the best, most caring staff with the unparalleled power of the wilderness is the most positive and purpose filled path to success we can set any camper on.  Individuals who come through the Frost Valley Adventure Program do so with their heads held high, ready to face the school year with new skills, new confidence, and the ability to tackle hard problems that come their way!  Adventure is where life-long friends are found, and we make it our mission to help everyone we meet feel great in meeting their goals.

Participating in a Frost Valley Trip represents an opportunity for personal growth in a wilderness setting, and one trip that embodies the spirit of growth is our Habitat for Humanity Service Trip.  For those needing service hours, this is a chance to fulfill that while at the same time being a part of an experience that sets Frost Valley Trips apart. Working with the Columbia County Habitat for Humanity organization, participants of this trip will have the chance to work with some of the finest volunteers, all working together towards the goal of helping those in need.  Embodying all 8 core values of Frost Valley (Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Inclusiveness, Diversity, Community and Stewardship), those who sign up for this trip will be walking away not only with the sense of accomplishment that comes with Frost Valley Trips, but knowing that they did their part to help communities grow and families thrive!

Spots on this trip are filling up fast, sign up today to secure your spot on what is going to be one of the best experiences around!
