After a very long drive, riddled with lots of construction (and quite a bit of Scrabble), the group was ecstatic to get out and play yesterday.  At the high ropes course, every single person climbed at least twice, some people even more than that!  The highlight so far? The MUD OBSTACLE course, which was completed THREE times!! The group was trying very hard to beat the 12 minute record and came SO close (12 minutes, 10 seconds).  Today the group splashed around in duckies, with a couple of great wipe-outs all across the board.  A few shout outs:

Casey – an honest, helpful, compassionate individual who entertains the group with random science facts about everything!

Jacob – a helpful person who keeps the group laughing and in good spirits, and who can eat an amazing amount of hamburgers (3 at lunch!)

Sara Kay – had an awesome wipe out that she was incredibly proud of at the end! Stepping into her growth zone has been fun to watch and she’s pushing herself to try new things.

Morgan – “beast” and “monkey” are two of Morgan’s nicknames after she beat every person in the mud obstacle course and powered through the climbs on Tuesday.

Lenny – jumps into everything head first with lots of energy and a great try-everything-a-second-time attitude. His wipe out was viewed on video later that day as everyone cheered and laughed with him.

Ema – a talented writer who’s committed to recording her whole adventure, Ema has gone above and beyond to make sure everyone is being included in the group.  She pushed herself to try the hardest element on the climb, something none of the other group members stepped up to do!

Matthew – loves frisbee and has found a great group of people to play with.  His helpful tips and suggestions make him a great teacher for everyone.
