Mustang Beats the Heat!

Temperatures may be rising, but that won’t keep Mustang Village from having a great time!  Today started our with waterfront…plenty of time to splash and swim to cool off.  After a games period it was time to get wet again by tubing in the river.  The girls had the chance to sit in inner tubes and float in the peaceful Bisket Brooke.  Getting wet and cooling down are crucial for days when the weather is warmer.   Later today they will enjoy trail rides and then horse washing.  This gives the girls and their horses a chance to bond, get wet, and cool down.  Horse washing is always a favorite activity…until the end when the horses get turned out and find the dirtiest area to lay down and roll 🙂

Yesterday girls had extra ride time.  They did a ring lesson and then went on a trail ride to cool themselves and their horses down.  Mustang tried their hand at archery….many of the girls were surprisingly good at hitting the target from quite a distance.  Games, waterfront, water balloon tosses and crafts made yesterday a fun and engaging day for the girls.  They are each learning how to control their new horse partners during ride time.  Every horse is a little different, so it is challenging to every rider to learn about their horse and how it works.

We have also started preparing for this coming weekend as it will be Frost Valley’s 2 Day All Camp Olympix!  This is a huge event at Frost Valley that engages every camper in games, challenges, and activities to learn about cultures from all over the world!  It will be a special event to never forget.
