New Adventures…

Session 3 Adventure Village (AdVill) is off to a great start so far! After all the campers had arrived each tent group got to know each other better by playing some games, doing some team-building challenges, and going on an AdVill-style camp tour.

After eating dinner together as a village everyone got to go bundle up and prepare for tonight’s opening ceremony/campfire. This is a much-loved tradition where Adventure Village breaks away from Camp Henry Hird and celebrates being unique, having fun, and making friends. It was a great way to start off the session!

Wish everyone sweet dreams as they spend their first night together out in the platform tents! (We are lucky the stars out tonight and it’s a beautiful time to be outside.) Check on smugmug tomorrow for pictures!

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
