Farm Camp Goes into the Woods!
The first Thursday and Friday of every session are always exciting because we get to go on our overnights! Tonight, Yurts 1 & 2 hiked to Pine Grove, a beautiful river-side campsite, and Yurts 3 & 4 hiked to Pete’s Pavillon, a campsite in a large pavilion with stunning views of the Catskills.
For dinner on trail, campers enjoyed pita pizzas and a sizable portion of s’mores! Tomorrow morning they will hike back to the Farm, and tomorrow evening Yurts 6 & 7 will spend the night at Pete’s Pavilion.
As exciting as it is to explore outside of the Farm, great things are still happening here! This morning, a group of campers threw a surprise birthday party for one of our campers. There were banners, games and even a throne! Yurts 6 & 7 enjoyed an evening barbecue with farm fresh burgers followed by an exciting game of French Revolution (a kind of ‘tag’ game) in the woods.
