Summer Camp Staff

The people who make this all possible! Here we are the 2011 Frost Valley Summer Camp Staff. Trained and ready to go! Directors arrive first 3 weeks before camp, Village Chiefs arrive 2 weeks before camp and our Counselors arrive a week before camp begins. These are some of the most intense trainings I’ve ever had the pleasure of running. Our training included guest speakers, an 80 page spiral bound training manual (updated and ready to go) as well as a team of Directors and Village Chief’s with years of camping experience behind them. Beginning as soon as last summer ended the year round director team (Kam, Meg, Dan, Amanda & David) began working on how to best train our staff. We rethought our training manual, we began training our seasonal Director team to be trainers, we took every training we provide tore it apart and began again from scratch. As a result I feel that we have one of the best trained staff’s in the industry. A staff that believes in our mission so much that they donated over $14,000 dollars of their summer camp pay to ensure that children whom would otherwise not be able to afford to, can come to camp.

Morgan Theze

Born in New York but raised in Ireland, Morgan has spent every summer he can remember flying back to the US to attend summer camps. Over the years that Morgan worked at a well-regarded private camp in Maine, he took on many roles including Cabin Counselor, Head of Rocks and Ropes, Program Director, and Operations Director. Morgan began working at Frost Valley as a program instructor in 2014, leading activities for our schools and weekend programs, before becoming our Director of Camp Henry Hird. Campers at Camp Henry Hird range in age from 13 to 16. Morgan loves working with this age group as he finds that this is the time of their life where they form into unique individuals and discover the values that they will hold with them for the rest of their lives.
