Sunday Reflection
“We are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. We are all unique, and have our own special place in the world. Without each of us, the puzzle is incomplete.”
Sunday is a great day at the farm to reflect and recharge. This session, we have chosen to explore the core values of Diversity and Community. Our counselors led us on a trust walk up the cascades trail, where we created puzzles with our yurts. We then all reflected on the expereience together and found that each yurt’s puzzle fit with the others, creating the Spirt, Mind, and Body triangle of the YMCA (final picture to come!). We then were able to tell stories, sing songs, read poems, and do skits based on our feelings of this theme. We have been so lucky to have such a great community, and we were really able to explore our diversity through this activity. We are all different, just like the peices of the puzzle, but when we are all put together we create something bigger and better than ourselves.
