Surf & Skate or Skate & Surf (Session 2)

Today the group arrived to Camp Surf where they have setup camp on the beach! They will kick off the surfing half of their trip tomorrow mourning. At Skate Camp the group had a blast, both Christina & Matthew tore up the mini ramp (that’s a good thing). Adam & David both won brand new Decks during a scavenger hunt, and Ray won a T-Shirt. Brendan made it into a skate video they were shooting! What a day! They then stopped by General Sherman the largest living tree in the world and paid their respects to nature’s greatest triumph. Then off they went to a fun filled day at Six Flags. On the groups first day they will be attending a waterfront orientation with surfing and body boarding every mourning and activities through to the night.

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
