Vermont Voyagers are having a great time so far.  Our first group spent time climbing the past two days and LOVED the rappelling portion today.  Our guides were great and taught everyone how to belay before letting them start trying their luck on the wall.  The group navigated cracks, bends and walls of varying levels.  Be sure to ask your campers what the A, B, C, D & E's of climbing are when they get home! Our second group started by biking yesterday and added some hiking into today.  Biking along the lake was cool, and although they didn't reach the summit of the mountain, it was still a great bonding opportunity and great exercise!     The weather held out for both groups for activities, and everyone has been getting along well in the campsite.  Favorite activities include ultimate frisbee and mafia (a logic game in which participants sit in a circle and must figure out what role each person plays in the group in their imaginary village), along with cards and general "hanging out." That's it for now.  The first group will now bike and hike over the next two days and the second group will climb.  Everyone starts sailing on Sunday.  Chat to y'all soon!

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
