3 canoes on lake cole

Welcome back AdVill!

All of the mini trips have returned this afternoon safe and sound.  It always a sight to see when Adventure Village campers and counselors are reunited with their bunk-mates and friends.

All the trips got off to a wet and stormy start, but continued on in good spirits.

The climbing trip got more climbs than ever in this session and the weather was perfect, except that first night.  The climbers also enjoyed amazing sunsets and views of the night sky right next to their campsite.

The hikers may have been the most adventurous groups of them all, hiking on through the storms.  Both groups got to enjoy awesome views of the Catskills and the peacefulness of the wilderness.

The canoeing group lucked out with weather as well and truly got to explore the knooks and crannies of the Pepacton Reservoir.  Pictures will be posted in the morning!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
