Eva Larson
School Programs Director
Extension 221
Eva is just starting her Frost Valley adventure in 2022 after almost a decade in the camping/outdoor education world. She attended SUNY-ESF in Syracuse, NY to study environmental forest biology. Prior to Frost Valley, she worked for a variety of outdoor education programs around the country from the Colorado Rockies to the Shenandoah national park. Most recently she worked in the Pacific Northwest at Whatcom Family Y in Bellingham WA and at YMCA Camp Orkila on beautiful Orcas Island. In her free time, Eva enjoys hiking, adventuring, creating community, and appreciating the natural world with her husband, baby daughter, and senior rescue dog. She is motivated by the smiles and laughter of all who experience camp magic! She strives to create meaningful outdoor programming for all who visit Frost Valley. She feels that helping youth to create and foster a sense of wonder for the natural world is so important and she is grateful to be able to play a part in that. “It’s so amazing to see someone’s eyes light up as they witness something they maybe only ever read about in books happening right in front of them – like seeing an eagle flying overhead!”
