Katharine grew up in Wayzata, MN, a small suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul. She studied Biology at Harvard University and then spent four years teaching environmental education during the school year and exploring other environmentally-related careers during the summers. Katharine started teaching at Frost Valley in the fall of 2012 and developed an increasing interest in Frost Valley’s overall environmental impacts. In the fall of 2015, she began full time work as Frost Valley’s Sustainability Coordinator. When not at work, Katharine enjoys gardening, cooking, and anything active. Her true sports passion is ice hockey, but with few rinks around, she spends most of her time hiking or taking in the sights on her bike.
