Frost Valley YMCA is embarking on an ambitious ten-year transformation with Strategic Plan 2.0, evolving from a primarily summer-focused operation into a premier, year-round catalyst for belonging, growth, and connection. Building on a legacy of over a century, the plan addresses modern challenges such as social isolation and youth mental health by leveraging the proven power of immersive, nature-based experiences. This new era centers on a reimagined program portfolio that integrates nature, the arts, and recreation to serve a multigenerational audience—including youth, families, schools, and corporate teams—across its 5,500-acre Catskills campus.
The strategy is anchored by five core priorities: expanding program possibilities for more people, investing in a world-class workforce, modernizing facilities to match the mission, ensuring operational agility, and accelerating strategic philanthropy.
To support these goals, the organization is adopting a modernized hybrid structure with a dedicated program hub in the Catskills and an administrative hub near New York City. Guided by an unwavering “For All” commitment, Frost Valley YMCA is dedicated to removing barriers and ensuring that every individual, regardless of background, can find a sense of purpose and restoration in this valley.
