Dr. Ernest Roos IV

Ernest Roos, IV came to the attention of the FV Board of Trustees as a husband of a devoted camp alumna, and father of two toddler future FV campers They reside in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.

Ernest is a physician and researcher in neurology, now a Clinical Development Medical Director in the pharmaceutical industry, providing medical and strategic leadership to usher new treatments from the bench to the bedside in neurodegenerative diseases. He is currently a director at Sanofi Genzyme, having previously served as an Associate Director of Global Clinical Development in CNS and Digital Medicine at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals America. There he led clinical development programs and provided medical strategy for device and digital therapeutic innovations. Before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, he served as the Director of Clinical Research for Vassar Brothers Medical Center- Healthquest Network (now Nuvance), expanding regional access to clinical trials for the mid-Hudson Valley region across Cardiology, Oncology, Surgery, and Neurology.

Dr. Roos began his career in the labs of the National Institutes of Health and Columbia University studying novel interventions for neurodegenerative diseases, subsequently earning his medical degree from the UAG- New York Medical College program. After postgraduate medical training and returning to Columbia University Medical Center as a Research Physician in Neurology Thereafter he joined a New York healthtech startup, while completing a Master in Public Health in healthcare management from Mt Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine.
