Marike Bradford Toothaker

My first experience with summer camp during my elementary school years was, shall we say, less than perfect. Two summers later my friend’s mother convinced my parents to send me to Frost Valley. Her High School sent groups of students to Frost Valley each year. It was a great experience for those kids and she was sure it would be even better as a camp for her daughter and me. She was right. I went on to be a camper, CIT and counselor at Frost Valley and my experiences were unforgettable and transformative. My children love Frost Valley just as much as I did. My daughter started as a camper in Pokey/Totem (now Rocky) and was a CIT in 2022. She hopes to return as a counselor in 2024. My son enjoyed his third FV summer last year as a Fir camper.

Professionally, I am a Major Gifts Officer for Cornell University. I recently celebrated my 25th Anniversary with Cornell. Over the years I have held a variety of roles engaging alumni with their alma mater and shepherding their Cornell philanthropy. I live in Fairfield, CT with my husband, my two children and my very naughty Golden Retriever. I am very excited to begin my service to this board.
