Scott is Principal and Co-founder at Bender Cantone Consulting, a New York-based, full-service public affairs firm specializing in city and state government relations, public policy, strategic planning, and communications. He is an experienced government and private sector executive and attorney with 30 years of public affairs experience and has held several senior positions in two New York City mayoral administrations and the State Legislature in Albany. He oversaw the administration’s federal, state and city legislative agendas as the Director of the Mayors’ Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and also served as Special Counsel to the Deputy Mayor for Operations and First Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS).
Before founding Bender Cantone, Scott was an executive at Forest City Ratner Companies where he developed comprehensive public relations strategies and oversaw government, community and media affairs for some of New York’s foremost real estate and economic development projects, including Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Pacific Park, Manhattan’s New York Times Building and East River Plaza, and Westchester’s Ridge Hill.
Scott lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife Tracy and two sons, Elijah and Joshua. Elijah has been attending Frost Valley for 11 years as both a camper and counselor while Joshua has been a camper for the last four years.
