Adventure is Ready For You!

As Sunday approaches, we here in the Adventure staff are getting more and more excited welcome you and your kids to camp. Many of us have been here for two or three weeks, training and putting in place a program that will help your kids to have an amazing summer.

As directors, myself (hello! I am Tori, one of our Trips Logistics Coordinators), Jesse (our other Trip Logistics Coordinator), Russell (our assistant director) and Zach (our fearless Adventure Director) have been planning this summer for months. And now it’s all about to happen! Our whole staff embarked on our training trip last week to the Adirondacks for canoeing and backpacking. There, we finessed our technical skills and bonded as a group. Coming out of it, we all felt like family and are so excited to welcome you all into our family.

A couple of nights ago, the adventure staff took some time to go up to one of our favorite spots in the Catskills, Merrell Pavillion. Above is a picture of all of us, and the excitement on our faces is not just for the s’mores that followed; it’s also the impending arrival of our campers!

Tori Staley

Tori Staley is our Adventure Director. She grew up in State College, PA, an avid hiker, rock climber, camper, and lover of the outdoors. After graduating from the University of Vermont, Tori taught Outdoor Education and Spanish in Colorado, before earning her Masters in Gender Studies in London. Throughout all of that though she returned every summer to Frost Valley! Tori has been an Adventure Village Counselor, AIT Coordinator, Trips Logistics Coordinator, and then served as a Mental Health Support for Camp.
