The first half of the summer is coming to an end, sadly we will say goodbye on Friday to all our amazing first half CiT’s. They’ve built strong relationships, went hiking through the Catskill Mountains, worked with kids and did a lot of community service. They have gained so many new and important skills over the past month that can be applied to life at home as well as camp life in the future. They had an amazing month and were absolutely incredible CiT’s. We are all so proud of each and every one of them.

Yesterday Max and Adrianna’s group finally got a day of rest at a beautiful campsite along their hike, where I checked in and took this photo of the girls getting ready to set up their tent. The CiTs were in good spirits, and excited to continue on their hike the next day. Even though they had to take a break from hiking, they still had a great time hanging out in the creek, and exploring their campsite for the day.

Yesterday Adrianna and Max’s group spent the afternoon on the zip line, and then played a fun game of geronimo with Al and Forest. Below are some great photos of their group working together and enjoying the zip line.

There are 19 CiTs working in 10 different villages across camp practicing all the counselor techniques they learned during their week of staff training. They spend all day with their assigned cabin, and get to experience what it really feels like to be a staff member here at Frost Valley. Below is a photo of two CiTs with some of their kids, already doing a phenomenal job creating bonds with their campers. Keep it up guys!
