Over the past few days, the other two CiTs groups have gone out to explore the Catskill Mountains. Starting their trail at Giant’s Ledge and slowly making their way back to camp. Currently, the highlight for the CiTs is the great trail food they get to cook. They have found a new appreciated for dried refried beans! CiT’s are really thriving in session currently here are some updates: Those in Josh/Nell and Nick/Seth’s group are on the last full day of in cabin. Some major highlights include CiTs handling homesickness amongst the younger campers and creating a new activity when the rain had a village relocate indoors for a moment. As they finish up the in-cabin process, the Coordinators will start preparing them for the 6-day hike that happens next session. CiTs who have been on camp, while the other half have been hiking, have been running activities and going through staff training for their in-cabining experience. As they make their way through the in- cabining experience here are some highlights from the past few days. Nell/Josh: Started the in cabining process today and have been doing a great job. Session B CiTs are off to a great start. On Sunday they did a great job helping out with luggage and going through waste stations. training. They were split into four groups and met their coordinators for the summer. For their evening program, CiTs introduced themselves to both Wawayanda and Hird at their respected opening campfires. Some highlights from the groups: Frankie/Josh: Went off on the hike on Monday and will be back on Saturday morning.
