Hi everyone and welcome to session 4!  On sunday after we had gotten to know everyone and had dinner we headed off for our opening campfire. At our opening campfire each village did a skit and performed to everyone. We certainly recieved a few giggles for ours which involved us introducing ourselves in different languages. On monday we had our eval day, where the campers ride a horse to see which one would be suited to them. They all loved it and it was lovely to see some first timers on a horse at frost valley! Welcome to session 3! So on day one we got to know everyone by doing a get to know you activity and a few games! At opening campfire the campers watched the villages skits and were laughing along to them all. Especially to the mustango skit, which involved the counsellors putting a range of food on their faces! Day two the sun was out so we went to waterfront and had a splash about in the lake while waiting for mustango to take their swim test! The first week at camp has been full of activities.  Down at the barn the campers have continued to develop in their lessons. They have been working on starting, stopping, circling as well as their position and posture while riding. The kids have made great improvements this week and are becoming more confident each day on their horses. At waterfront Mustang and Durango have enjoyed doing things such as playing in the water with their new friends and building sandcastles in the sand. Hi everyone, Mustang and Durango are all unpacked and have settled in great to camp life. After everyone had arrived the campers played some introduction games to get to know each other. The campers then make there way up to the dinning hall for a pizza dinner, before going opening campfire by lake Cole. The campers enjoyed watching skits that the counsellors had prepared and learnt new songs and chant. The first week is coming to a end and the campers have had a full week of activities and riding. Mustang and Durango are having a great time and are looking forward to another full week at camp. They have been doing most of their activities together as a brother/sister village but have also enjoyed hanging out and doing evening program’s with other villages their same age. Saturday morning was spent at the barn playing water games and doing art/craft activities; the campers did tie dye! Mustang and Durnago are all unpacked and have settled in great to camp. On check in day the campers took part in name games and had the opportunity to introduce themselves to their cabins. We joined the rest of Wawayanda who are the younger campers at Frost Valley for a pizza dinner, before heading to opening campfire down by Lake Cole. The campers enjoyed learning new songs and enjoyed laughing at the skits that the counselors had prepared. We started off Wednesday with a camper favorite – Counselor Sundaes! The campers split up into groups and the counselors had to answer questions about their campers they they might have learned throughout the session. If the counselor got it right, they were fine, but if they didn’t answer correctly, the campers got to smear ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles and chocolate sauce all over their counselors. Everyone had a change in pace yesterday morning and got to hang out with different villages! Mustang hung out with the oldest female village on camp and Durango hung out with the oldest male village on camp. The older villages ran activities for the younger campers and everyone had a wonderful time. The older campers were excited to lead activities and get ready to become counselors in training and the younger campers were really excited to have the older campers to look up to and listen to all the camp stories. The weekend started off with a bright day. We all got up and headed over to the dining hall for breakfast. Mustang and Durango split up for the beginning of the morning so that they could each do their own activities. Mustang went outside to have a girls morning and get facials!! We did natural facials, so we got tons of ingredients from the kitchen. They did numerous different types of spa treatments, including exfoliators, eye relaxers, and skin softeners. Everyone is having a blast here! The first week is coming to an end and the boys and girls can’t wait for another. Durango is really getting along with their cabin mates and Mustang have a great time with each other in their lodge. They have been doing most of their activities with each other and love being brother and sister villages.
