On Monday they did an activity with Susky and Forest (girls and boys ages 9-11) called Counselor Sundaes in which they ended up putting ice cream all over their counselors. They made their counselors into ice cream sundaes and spread ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles all over their counselors. They loved getting messy and enjoyed getting their counselors messy even more. The girls were happy to get back on their horses after a day off. They were excited to ride their own horses again, continue to form a bond with their horse and learn […]

The girls had another opportunity to get on the ropes course this morning. They headed over to the Y tower which is about three stories tall. They each picked a buddy and were challenged to work together to reach their goal. They were on the dangling duo which is like a giants ladder but with more obstacles. They worked on communicating with their partner in order to reach the higher rungs of the ladder. They all had a fun time climbing up as high as they could. They have really been enjoying these hot days at the waterfront. It was very hot and humid today so a nice dip in the lake […]

They got into all of the sections that they wanted to go to in their last day of waterfront. They all dried off and headed up to lunch for their last lunch of session 2! Down at the barn the girls had their last lesson! They all loved it. The girls who had not trotted yet all trotted in their lessons. The other girls started to progress to more advanced trotting techniques. The lesson instructors […]

Yesterday the girls started off their day with a old camp favorite – Geronimo. Geronimo is run by Al Filreis who had been coming to Frost Valley since he was a boy. He has always been around and is a camp legend at Frost Valley. He plays tons of camp games with everyone around camp, is known for having the most exciting activities, and also tells his favorite camp stories around the campfire. Al taught the girls how to play Geronimo – a game where they run around when they are called up by their names, an assigned number, or any characteristic. They loved running around and competing for their […]
