Being a Camp Counselor @Home – Check-In #2

As we start week five of our Build Strong @Home series we want to check-in to see how things are going. Five weeks ago we posted some tips on how to be a Camp Counselor @Home and we want to know how that is working for you.

Here are the second two tips we shared:

  1. Campers Choice. At camp, we give kids a lot of choices to define their camp experience. Let your kids decide what Build Strong @Home activities they want to participate in. We will have lots – blogs, challenges, videos, live activities, let your campers choose what they want to do.
  2.  Don’t be afraid to let loose. One of the best parts about being a camp counselor is getting to tap into your childlike self. Get your hands dirty. This will be the most fun when YOU as a trusted adult engage fully with your camper.

How are you doing? What is going well? Where do you think you could improve? Share your stories with us by emailing buildstronghome@frostvalley.org.
