Cabins 5 and 6 in the 1960s
This snapshot was taken in the late 1960s. In the foreground at right is cabin 5 and beyond it, further away and on the left, is cabin 6. The photo was taken in a spot that is now a parking lot to the east of Hussey Lodge, and cabin 5 is more or less where Hussey Lodge itself stands now. Cabin 6 is also gone now, standing in a field that is now open and leads down toward a sledding hill. Cabin 5 was the highest cabin in Totem Village, cabins 1 through 5, for the youngest boys in summer camp. Cabin 6 was the first cabin in the group numbered 6 through 10—Forest Village, for the second-young boys group. Our plan is to restore cabins 1 through 5. (Thanks to Ken Nathanson for sending along this great photo.)
