NOTE: Day Camp 2021 will function a little differently this year, but will be no less exciting for our campers. We have prepared a list of questions and answers, which can be found on our Day Camp 2021 COVID-19 FAQs page. We will update this
Please be sure to have all your camper’s forms – INCLUDING THE COMPLETION OF YOUR ONLINE CAMP DOCS HEALTH REVIEW – turned into Frost Valley before your camper starts camp. If your camper’s Camp Doc account is not complete they will not be allowed to attend camp. The completion of this online document gives Frost Valley permission to treat your child for any illness or injuries and is required by law for us to have on file.
READ OUR MEASLES IMMUNIZATION POLICY
Documentation of two doses of the MMR vaccine is required (with rare exceptions) by the Department of Health in several counties this summer. This applies to campers, staff, and volunteers. If you have any questions, please contact our healthcare administrator at 845-985-2291 ext. 232
If you have any questions about camp docs or would like to speak to our professional wellness staff, you may call them at 845-985-2291 ext 225.
Please note, all paper health documents that are sent to camp require our manual entry and families will be charged a $20.00 processing fee. All the other required paper forms are available on our Summer Day Camp Forms page, just in case you have missed one along the way. With the exception of the Camp Doc online form, please feel free to email, fax or send your camper’s forms upon arrival if you have forgotten to return them to us by now.
The Guenther Family Wellness Center, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility located on the main camp, is staffed by EMT’s and nurses. The health and well-being of Frost Valley YMCA’s guests is the main priority for this team of dedicated medical professionals who are equipped to handle medical needs. Should there even be a need, there are hospitals and urgent care facilities within 45 minutes of Frost Valley.
The Guenther Family Wellness Center was dedicated in September 2008 by Congressman Maurice Hinchey, Paul Guenther and his family, and a host of Frost Valley YMCA friends, family, and supporters. The new building replaced the old Smith Lodge which served for decades as the camp infirmary. The Wellness Center quickly became the hub it was envisioned to be, serving the medical needs of thousands of children and playing a role in the health and wellness goals of our campers, guests, staff, and the larger Frost Valley community. The top floor of the state-of-the-art health care facility is equipped with multiple treatment rooms, recovery rooms and a trauma room. The ground floor is home to a number of work and play spaces, including a toddler room, arts and crafts studio, theatre space, and nature room.
For any questions about health care options, please contact Dawn D’auria by calling 845-985-2291 ext 232 or emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org
