A boy’s summer horseback riding camp in the Catskills
NOTE: As you know, our priority is always the health and safety of our campers. As we begin to plan for Summer 2022, we are still determining what Covid Protocols will be implemented for the summer. We will be working with the New York State Department of Health, CDC, and American Camp Association to stay updated. To see what we did last summer, please look at our 2021 COVID-19 FAQ page. Once we gain more information and begin to make decisions about Summer 2022, we will make sure to keep you updated.
Durango Village at Main Camp is designed for boys in grades 4-8 (ages 9-13) who want to gain horseback riding skills, but still participate in traditional camp activities. Campers share a cabin and are paired with their own horse throughout the course of the session. Half the day is spent learning the basics of horse care and riding technique, while the remainder of the day is devoted to a wide range of other camp activities including swimming, climbing, hiking, and more. They’ll even enjoy an overnight camping trip to the barn! This program offers a great experience for boys with basic riding experience, although all riding levels are accepted. For more information on any of our horse programs, please email email@example.com or call (845) 985-2291 ext. 240.
