Hi everyone, Mustang and Durango are all unpacked and have settled in great to camp life. After everyone had arrived the campers played some introduction games to get to know each other. The campers then make there way up to the dinning hall for a pizza dinner, before going opening campfire by lake Cole. The campers enjoyed watching skits that the counsellors had prepared and learnt new songs and chant. Everyone enjoyed watching and laughing at the skits and meeting people from other villages at the campfire. Monday the campers headed down to waterfront for their orientations and swim checks. After a few hot and humid days (and one day mostly of rain) session two has blessed us with sunny skies, cool and dry with a breeze. Everyone here—and “everyone” is the right word, as this is a completely full session!—is hitting their stride. I’ve gone around the last few days looking for a variety of scenes and views and people, to give my faithful blog readers a sense of how paradisal this place can be.

Today one of our International counsellors, Jay from England shared his love of cricket with his Forest campers. Every year Frost Valley hires staff from all over the world and this year approximately 30% of our seasonal staff are Internationals. This Summer we have hired from South Africa, Croatia, Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Brazil, Columbia, India and Mexico to name but a few countries.
