It’s hard to believe that today is the last full day of camp for session 4. The second week of session 4 was packed full of new specialty options, fun evening programs, and visits to East Valley Ranch. In addition to barn and garden specialties we also had baking, needle felting, improv,  mural creations, mindfulness, and a dance class. This weekend the Farm was transformed into the Wild West for our theme day! Camp was split into 4 groups that all helped to create their own town. The campers worked together to create the name of their town and create their town laws. Then, they worked together to earn gold by having some fun with water gun target practice, sack races, and panning for gold. Campers also got to try their hand at lassoing a bull!   Later in the day each team had a “cowboy cook out” where they had find the food to use while they created their own cowboy dish. This week has been full of fun activities for our campers. Whether they have been learning about Hungarian culture, harvesting blueberries to make popsicles, or joining secret writing societies, they are all having a great time. The barn groups are learning about how to care for the animals and the garden campers are learning new and fun ways to use our plants. Did you know that there are many edible plants that most people would consider weeds?   Last night we invited East Valley Ranch to join us for our evening program, Challenge Night!
