What a wonderful Wednesday! Today we had perfect weather. Not too hot, not too cloudy, not too windy. Some of today’s activities: Cable bridge hangout: walking across the cable bridge, bonding, talking about the environment. Soccer: or football… depending on which staff member you ask! Goat cuddling: pretty cute, pretty self-explanatory. Berry picking: our raspberries are ready and we can hardly keep up! Over the last two days we have harvested over EIGHTY POUNDS! Question: What did the mama cow say to the baby cow? The first full day of camp is over already!! It was packed full of new activities and new friendships. We learned about the day to day of Farm Camp life. Flag raising, waterfront, yurt clean up, camper’s choice activity, and so much more… the campers are experts after today. Campers also chose specialties for the week. Question: What kind of things does a farmer talk about when he is milking cows? You know it is going to be a good session when people start dancing at dinner! A camp classic, Cotton Eyed Joe, was played during table clean up and at least 20 people got up and started doing the dance that goes with the song. We opened our session with a campfire where people got a chance to sing, dance, and perform skits!
