Get Certified with the Certified Horsemanship Association!
Join us for a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) Clinic at East Valley Ranch, September 14-18, 2026
Become a CHA-certified riding instructor in English and/or Western disciplines. Four levels of certification can be achieved in the clinic, with the potential of being recommended as an Assistant Clinic Instructor.
Participants will be evaluated by certified CHA clinicians throughout the five-day clinic. The clinic will involve teaching at least four practice lessons, a riding evaluation, a written test, and participation in workshops on risk management, teaching techniques, professionalism, and herd management. Candidates will take turns teaching lessons and riding in lessons, role-playing as students. Expect full days with lots of outdoor activity! Your certification level will be at the sole discretion of the clinic staff, and certification is not guaranteed.
The cost is $1,000, which includes lodging and meals. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your horsemanship skills while earning your certification!

Northeast YMCA Camp Conference (NEYCC)
If we had to say one thing The Northeast YMCA Camp Conference is known for, it would be its true camp feel.
Held at an actual summer camp (right here at Frost Valley YMCA!), the diversity of attendants ranges from camp counselors (college students in the off-season) to Executive Directors & CEOs. Presenters are the best experts in the Y Camping field, camp professionals. The committee putting on the Northeast YMCA Camp Conference is committed to this event always being full of networking opportunities with an intimate feel at an exceptionally affordable rate, with scholarships available to ensure that all camp pros have an opportunity to attend.
The NEYCC’s conference goals are simple yet meaningful:
- Connections – every participant walks away with at least one new colleague
- Maintaining the conference’s small & intimate feel
- Participants leave with actionable knowledge – resources and tools they can put into place instantly
Wilderness First Responder Courses
The Wilderness First Responder program, presented by Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA), is the ideal emergency medical training for leaders in remote areas. Outdoor educators, wilderness guides, members of the military, professional search and rescue teams, field researchers, and individuals involved in disaster relief will gain valuable skills from this comprehensive and practical curriculum. The course teaches the essential principles and skills needed to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days or even weeks.
Courses are designed to be hands-on and immersive, with housing and meals included. EVR provides a beautifully appointed bed-and-breakfast-style lodge with a private chef and comfortable indoor meeting spaces, making it an ideal setting for focused learning and practical training.

Conference, Presentation, and Meeting Spaces
Easels, paper, and markers can be provided at all meeting spaces upon request. The majority of our groups enjoy hosting their meetings and shared experiences in Geyer Hall, described below. However, we also have other indoor and outdoor spaces for meetings, presentations, and fellowship.

Geyer Hall
Renovated in 2008, Geyer Hall was designed to make your retreat as seamless and private as possible on our main campus. It has WiFi and the ability to teleconference. Conveniently located steps away from Lakeview Lodge, our hotel-style accommodation, Geyer has a wireless router that enables guests to make cell phone calls, since we do not currently have cell phone service at our location in the Catskills. Each of the following rooms either has screens and projectors, or we can provide them upon request.
CONFERENCE ROOMS/MEETING SPACES:
- Board Room: seats 12 comfortably around a large table but with reconfiguration can accommodate up to 20 people, and has the ability to hold conference calls
- 2 Small Classrooms: These rooms seat 20-35 people in chairs at tables. The setup of these rooms is traditionally classroom style, but the tables and chairs can be removed or reconfigured to meet your needs.
- 1 Large Breakout Room: seats 45 people comfortably at tables, in traditional classroom style. The chairs and tables can be rearranged to meet your individual needs.
- 2 Large Meeting Halls with Fireplaces (pictured): each comfortably seats 120-150 people, and are often used for Keynote speakers, as a separate/private dining room, and as social areas for dancing and entertainment
- 1 Large Recreational Room: often used for indoor hockey, this room has a more industrial feel. it can be set up to accommodate small groups of 30-100 in a meeting, yet it has typically been used as a vendor hall or as a recreational/social area.
Victoria Hall
Located at the top of our main campus, this unique space provides beautiful views, the warmth of a Tulikivi Fireplace, and the convenience of a large and small meeting space connected together. It can be arranged with tables and chairs to accommodate 35 people, or configured theater style to seat 60 comfortably.

Built in 2008, the Wellness Center is a modern facility featuring WiFi and a variety of meeting space accommodations to suit your needs on our main campus.
- Huncosky Board Room: This room seats 12 comfortably around a large table, has WiFi, and has the capacity to host a conference call. With reconfiguration, this room can hold 20 people.
- Theater (pictured): Named for the Community Foundation of NJ, this beautiful space is well equipped to host events from presentation, to performance. It seats 150 people in wooden stadium-style seating and provides you with a floor-to-ceiling mounted screen for video projections, a mounted projector, and surround sound speakers. We have an electric piano available for anyone who would like music accompaniment.
- Gottscho Room: This room can hold up to 60 people theater-style and 35 people classroom-style at desks all facing one direction. It has wireless internet, and conference call capability, and can be set up with a screen and projector.
The Ketcham Chapel
This beautiful and serene building overlooks our Reflection Pond, and Wildcat Mountain on our main campus. Tucked into the tall pines, it provides an excellent space for reflection, celebration, and worship. All are welcome in this space. It comfortably seats 80 people in wooden pews and has an electric organ for musical accompaniment. The acoustics in this building are beautiful, and while not necessary, audio support with speakers and a microphone can easily be set up.

Located in a serene clearing in the woods on our main campus with amphitheater style, wooden benches, and a stone podium as the focal point, this is a great venue to host a number of different events.

This beautiful room boasts hardwood floors and a large fireplace at the front of the room. Perfect for presentations and for martial arts or dance rehearsal, this versatile space is a favorite with our groups. It is centrally located within our main campus.
