Horse Day Camp – First Day!!
The kids all arrived on their buses and in their cars excited for the day ahead! They split up into their groups and met their counselors. They headed straight to the barn to hop on some horses to take their eval rides. This basically means when the barn staff match the kids with a horse, based on their riding style and personality, this horse will then be theirs to look after for the next 2 weeks! They find out today which one they have been assigned and they are all very excited!
After lunch they headed to waterfront to learn about how the beach, boat house and different swim sections work. After waterfront they all played games on the field before going home.
This morning the kids were super excited to race down to the barn to find out their assigned horses. They are also looking forward to doing flying squirrel (one of our awesome ropes elements) and some sports and games!
